I am gay and I am an early career ornithologist. //
I’m a post-baccalaureate early career ornithologist of Colombian/Puerto Rican heritage currently working as an Avian Ecology Intern at Archbold Biological Station in Venus, Florida. Basic and applied research here focuses on the demography and behavioral ecology of the threatened and state-endemic Florida scrub-jay. Being both gay and the child of Latino immigrants, I highly value diversity and the increased visibility of diverse role models in STEM. Find me on Twitter at the link below.
