I am trans and I am a neuroscientist.//

In 2020, I am concluding my PhD in Neurosciences at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. My research is focused on combining neurobiology with synthetic biology to create artificial cells that can replace biological ones in scenarios of disease.
I am also the first trans student to change my legal name during a graduate degree at my Faculty, so there’s that.
