I was born and raised in Baguio City, Philippines, and immigrated to the United States. I’m currently an undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Integrative Biology with a focus on Human Biology and Health Science. The supervised research I conduct is focused on gene therapy through employing adenovirus-associated viruses (AAV). Furthermore, I’m currently working with other scientists in a project employing AAVs as a means of gene delivery with regards to the debilitating condition of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
