I am a trans* man and queer and I am a coastal hydrologist.//
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Marine Sciences at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Previously, I completed my PhD in Geology and Geophysics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. My research focuses on understanding groundwater discharge as a vector for anthropogenic pollution to the coastal ocean using combination of field, lab, and machine learning techniques. I came out to my professional circles as nonbinary during my PhD and as a trans* man during my postdoc, so I have range of gendered experiences in STEM.
