I research the ecology and function of fishes in reef ecosystems. Looking at the physical traits of reef-associated fishes, with a specific emphasis on UV reflectance, investigating the potential association to signaling behaviour. My research aligns with a deep-seated passion for coral reef ecology, underscored by a commitment to the conservation and restoration of these diverse and intricate marine ecosystems. One of my primary areas of interest, and potential avenue for future research, lies in the study of marine fish diversity and behaviour. I am captivated by the complex interactions occurring at both intra- and interspecific levels, the utilisation of colour and sound for communication, and the repercussions of anthropogenic pressures on these delicate and diverse marine environments.
