I am queer and I am an ecologist. //
I’m an ecologist at UC Berkeley. Much of my research focuses on understanding why fish populations and communities fluctuate as they do. I’m a first-generation college student, embrace diversity in STEM, and believe in bringing one’s self to work (though this took me time). I share these values with my students both inside and outside of the classroom. I’m fortunate to live in the super-gay-friendly San Francisco Bay Area with my wife and our cat.
