I am gay and I am a PhD student in robotics.//

I am an Italian biomedical engineer who ended up doing a PhD in robotics in sunny Sydney. My research is all about understanding and controlling physical human-robot interactions using physiological data from the user, and use it as an input to the robot controller. This way we can have safe and adaptive robots that know when the operator feels threatened, uncomfortable, disengaged or surprised. I love seeing my math and software getting real in terms of robot behaviour. My ultimate goal is to help people through assistive robotics.
