I am queer and I am an acarologist.//
I am a Mexican biologist who graduated from the University of Sonora. I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology at Arizona State University (ASU). My research primarily focuses on the community ecology, taxonomy, and evolution of mites in the Sonoran Desert.
I have participated in several biodiversity projects, particularly in the Madrean Archipelago. Additionally, I am passionate about mentoring future scientists, promoting interest in less charismatic species, and fostering safe and diverse environments within STEM fields.
