I am gay and I am an evolutionary biologist/herpetologist. //

I work on understanding how species form and what we can do to conserve them, using tropical lungless salamanders as a model system. Having not seen many visible queer people in biology in the past, I hope that this effort and others like it make the community more visible and lead to a more inclusive scientific environment.
