I am non-binary and I am a microbiologist.//
I am a Colombian industrial microbiologist and I was very lucky to have the chance to come to the U.S. I first became a research assistant at UMaine working with ruminal microbiology and in 2021 I started my Master’s in microbiology at UNH for which I graduated last May 2023. I will be moving into my Ph.D in micriobiology in the fall to keep studying forest trees microbial diseases and their impact in the microbiome and ecological networks in the soil, foilage and bark with emphasis in beec bark disease.
Outside the lab you can find me in a lovely coffe shop or library or at zumba class or in a theater watching any musical. I love piano and singing too!
