They/Them
I am queer and trans and I am a wildlife biologist.//
After an unconventional education comprised of traveling and self-study, I began to study wildlife science more intensively in my late twenties. I’ve always been obsessed with animals, but truly fell in love with the mustelidae. I began to get field jobs, starting off using non-invasive techniques to survey for mesocarnivores, and on to doing canopy research on red tree voles in Oregon. I’m interested in wildlife behavior, social and spatial ecology, and how to do good science while interpreting data through a queer feminist decolonial lens. I am currently looking for a grad school program that can incorporate all of this, so that I can learn to design and implement my own wildlife research.
