I am queer and I am an environmental biologist and ecologist.//
After being discouraged from pursuing STEM in my youth, I began my STEM journey later in life. I now am the President and Principal Biologist at Gotham Bat Conservancy, monitoring bat populations and restoring habitat in the Northeast. I also collaborate to monitor marine mammal populations in the New York Bight and engage in environmental advocacy at the municipal, state, and federal level to protect wildlife and habitats from degradation and destruction.
