He/Him
I am gay and I am a quantum engineer.//
I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (Brazil) in 2013. Later, I earned a Master’s degree in Nanophotonics and Applied Physics at the University of Campinas (Brazil) in 2016, and a Ph.D. in physics in a split program between the University of Campinas and the Technical University of Delft (Netherlands) in 2021. Today, I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Hybrid Quantum Systems, at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETH Zürich). My expertise is in integrated nanophotonics, superconducting qubits, and their applications in quantum computing.
Apart from professional life, I’m a cisgender gay man, vegan, host a podcast about physics in Portuguese, and like to play guitar, dance, and practice yoga in my free time. I’m engaged in a few outreach activities, trying to advocate the significance of optics and photonics to society, while explaining the value of diversity in the scientific community.
