Robin Isadora Brown

She/Her

I am trans and I am a graduate student worker.//

My name is Robin Isadora. I am a queer trans woman and a developmental neurobiologist.

I am a senior Ph.D. candidate at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA; occupied land of the Monacan people) in the Biology department. My science career has taken me from sunflower ecology, to fruit fly dorsal-ventral patterning, and to renal dysfunction in mice. In 2018 I joined the Kucenas lab, where I study the interactions between satellite glial cells and sensory neurons in dorsal root ganglia. Whenever I can spare the time, I enjoy birding, biking, and [very] loud music.
