I am a gay non-binary trans man and I am a computational biophysical chemist.//
I earned my BS in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and am currently working on my PhD in computational biophysical chemistry at Penn State. I make models of human nuclear receptor proteins and use statistical tools to figure out how they communicate and how different drugs affect them. After grad school, I want to teach chemistry at a primarily undergraduate institution so I can help the next generation of students ignite their imaginations through science and have access to resources that will help them succeed. In my free time, I am a classical percussionist and vocalist, enjoy cooking and baking, and hang out with my partner, our cat, and our bearded dragons!
