I am queer and I am a geo- and space-physicist.//
I am biracial and bisexual, pangender and pansexual, androgynously queer. I am a scientist. Do planets need magnetic fields to be habitable? How can we (humanity) use electromagnetic fields to probe alien worlds and our own world? What can magnetic fields reveal about natural hazards ranging from tsunamis to coronal mass ejections? I contemplate these questions as a research scientist at CU Boulder’s Laboratory for Atmospheric & Space Physics.
