I am queer and I am a marine biologist.//
I am a Marine Biology Ph.D. Candidate at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel. My research focuses on innovative, interdisciplinary coral reef restoration solutions and techniques.
Although Israel is the only country in the Middle East that predominantly accepts the LGBTQIA+ community, we are still discriminated against in many aspects of life and do not have marriage equality. I hope that by being out in STEM and in Israel, I can be an example for anyone who is looking for representation or to be a part of a community.
When I am not busy in the lab or diving for my research [not complaining : )] I am either outside hiking or at the beach, traveling, or trying new foods with my wife.
