I am gay and I am a food chemist/chemistry educator/grad student. //

I work in the University of Wisconsin- Madison Department of Food Science where I research polyphenols, especially how to improve the nutritional quality and shelf-life of fruit juice. I also work with UW educational psychologists to better understand how chemistry students use visual aids as learning tools. For fun, I skate with and help run the Madison Gay Hockey Association and sing everywhere I go. I would like the thank 500 Queer Scientists for recognizing that intersectional identities matter and scientists and queers should be celebrated as multifaceted human beings.
