She/Her
I am gay and I am an applied mathematician.//
I am a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. My research focuses on extracting information from time-series data (ice cores, seismographs, lab experiments, instruments on spacecraft, …) using nonlinear time-series analysis, information theory, and computational topology. I am a retired Olympic rower and I’m still pretty addicted to exercise—especially skiing. My wife and I, with our two cats, split our time between Boulder and Boston.
