She/Her
I am queer and I am an urban environmental justice researcher.//
I am an urban geographer. My research focuses on urban environmental justice issues related to climate adaptation, health, and homelessness. I have an interdisciplinary social science background based in natural resources and the environment. What makes me passionate is searching for answers to the question, “what does an environmentally just urban environment look like, and how do we get there?”
I am a faculty member in the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan, and I serve as the Research Program Manager for Michigan Sea Grant. Michigan Sea Grant funds applied research on the protection and restoration of Great Lakes resources to the benefit of decision makers and communities in Michigan.
