I am gay and I am a marine toxicologist.//
Originally from Mexico, I completed my Uni degree in Oceanography (UABC) and a Master’s degree in Marine Sciences (UNAM). I earned a PhD from the University of Tasmania in Australia, where I worked for a few years as a researcher and lecturer. As an aquatic toxicologist, I have studied harmful microalgae, phycotoxins, cnidarian venoms and oxidative stress, working together with seafood industries and regulators. I currently do research on the antioxidant defence of corals against heat stress, and I am based in France.
