He/Him
I am gay and I am a biomedical engineer.//
I am a Biomedical Engineering PhD student and NSF GRFP Fellow at Cornell University. I received my B.S. in Bioengineering at Oregon State University and had a post-bacc fellowship at University of Washington developing engineered human tissue. My current research at Cornell focuses on cellular mechanics and it’s effects on gene expression in the context of muscle disease. I utilize both molecular biology techniques and engineering principles to explore how cells convert mechanical stimuli into biochemical signals.
Besides research, I have passions in science advocacy, policy, and communication. I also enjoy hiking and gaming.
