I am gay and I am an evolutionary biologist.//
My work seeks to understand how rapid repeated evolution operates in natural populations. I conduct research on patterns of genetic variation in fruit flies living in orchards exposed to seasonally varying selection. Orchard flies are a premier system to tackle this issue since they must adapt quickly to track the seasonally changing fitness landscape. I currently work at the University of Virginia. Prior to this, I completed my PhD at Brown and my ScB at the University of Miami.
