Jamison Siebart
He/Him
I am gay and I am a biomedical engineer.//
Hi! My name is Jamison and I grew up in a small town in southwestern Pennsylvania. When I graduated high school, I moved to the other coast and did my undergrad degree in Bioengineering at the University of Washington (UW). At UW, I was finally immersed in queer culture and surrounded myself with loving, open-minded, and progressive people. I fell in love with science and the queer community and decided to continue both by moving to the gay capital of the south (Atlanta, GA) and getting my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. At Georgia Tech & Emory University, I received the NSF GRFP to fund my research to develop new classes of lipid nanoparticles for delivery of mRNA to antigen-specific T cells. I am extremely passionate about LGBTQ+ visibility in STEM and would love to form a large community of like-minded scientists!
