I am asexual and I am a geoscientist. //
In high school, I always felt different, as I never felt the urge to partake in a relationship. However, I believed I was obligated to do so because of excessive exposure to heteronormative media and relationships. Upon researching my feelings on Google, I realized I was asexual. This discovery served as vindication for my years of internal struggle. One of the main reasons I pursue science and research is to foster discoveries. I place such a great emphasis on this because I acknowledge the benefit that can come with new information and knowledge.
