I am queer and I am an astrophysicist.//
I research the co-evolution of supermassive black holes and galaxies using observational data. Specifically, I look at whether galactic bars can funnel gas to the middle of a galaxy, where it can be accreted onto the black hole.
I did my PhD at Lancaster in the UK, before moving to Masaryk University in the Czech republic for a postdoc.
Alongside astronomy, I tag in on disaster relief for the Planetary Response Network in urgent response situations.
