They/Them | He/him (purely from familiarity)
I am non-binary and I am a consultant clinical scientist.//
I have been a Clinical Scientist in Clinical Biochemistry in the NHS for nearly 25 years, after a PhD and a couple of postdocs in biochemistry. I have been a Consultant Clinical Scientist at Barnsley Hospital in South Yorkshire, UK now for over two years. After a lifetime of not feeling quite right in terms of rigidity of my assigned gender, I realised I was non-binary last year and am now in the process of coming out. I’m trying to progress to a more androgynous style and presentation generally (at work and casually). I’ve been involved in the formation of the LGBTQ+ Network within my hospital.
Aside from work, I’m a Dad, husband, cook, total gym bunny, occasional runner and (very) amateur stand-up comedian
