I am gay and I am an engineer.//

Hi! I’m Guido, and I’m recently graduated in Environmental Engineering (Santa Fe, Argentina). I strongly believe in empathy and global citizenship as trustworthy tools for strengthening human development and integration. When I was a student (not so far ago), I also worked as research intern for a year, in order to investigate about second generation (2G) bioethanol production from agro-industrial lignocellulosic waste, which it was the central topic of my degree thesis.

I often wondered if I would ever find acceptance among my peers and classmates, on the lab, in collage’s classrooms and their hallways. Finally, by the aid of many challenging talks and cold beers, I realized that I was in a safe space, surrounded with neat colleagues and supportive friends, with whom I could be who I am without barriers.

However, I understand that not everyone can achieve it. Therefore, I would like to initiate a exploratory study about work-related climate in LGBTQ + people in the field of Argentine engineering, which it could be useful to promote inclusion policies in the near future.
