Dr. Zubaida Khatoon

She/Her/mine/myself

I am queer and I am a data and analytics scientist.//

I begin with sincere gratitude to The Rockefeller University for considering my application and for inspiring generations of scientists through its commitment to excellence, mentorship, and discovery. My scientific journey has been driven by a deep fascination with how cells respond to stress, especially radiation-induced damage and apoptosis. During my doctoral work, I investigated radiomodulation by Hoechst 33258 in murine splenocytes, studying the effects on DNA damage pathways and immune responses. These efforts published in the Indian Journal of Experimental Biology and contributions to the ICMR Annual Report. My journey reached a new milestone when I created my professional profile on Vidwaan (INFLIBNET), allowing me to systematically present my scholarly record, research outputs, and academic achievements. My experience includes molecular assays, apoptosis studies, experimental design, and preparation of manuscripts related to radioprotection and cellular stress pathways. To strengthen my clinical perspective, I completed the BSAC Stewardship in Antimicrobial Prescribing course and the Biotecnika Clinical Study Protocol Development course, for which I received the Impact Watson Fellowship. I am also a proud member of the Royal Society of Biology, the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA), and the Edwin Science Society, USA. My goal is to contribute, to innovative, collaborative, and translational scientific research. Thank You!
