He/Him/His
I am queer and I am a doctoral student in clinical psychology. //
My interests are broadly focused on exploring the within-group dynamics of the queer community, as well as topics related to intersectionality and privilege/oppression. I’m currently in the process of starting my dissertation, which will examine if/how racism affects the well-being of queer men of color who use smartphone dating applications (e.g., Grindr, Scruff, etc.). I feel very fortunate to be able to use my work in STEM to advocate for others in the queer community, especially those who continue to face discrimination from other queer people (in addition to general society). I am also thankful to be in a field where I can be openly queer, even if the area outside of my university’s walls is not as affirming.
