She/Her
I am a lesbian and I am an aquatic biogeochemistry and ecosystem ecology. //
I grew up in Texas, attended Clark University for my undergraduate degree in Geography, and the University of Texas Marine Science Institute for my PhD in Marine Science. I am currently a postdoctoral associate at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. I’m interested in how landscapes and climate impact carbon and nutrient cycling in aquatic and estuarine systems, particularly the Arctic, using a combination of lab, field, and satellite remote sensing methods. I am also a volunteer with the Earth Science Women’s Network, and promote diversity and inclusion in STEM throughout my work. Outside the lab, I read, go birding, and try to keep my Newfoundland dog entertained.
