I am queer and I am an auditory neuroscientist.//
I am a biomedical engineer and neuroscientist working electrophysiological markers of auditory perception in cochlear implant users. I conduct research at the University of Cambridge where I also completed my PhD in cognitive neuroscience. I hold a B.A. in Music Theory & Cognition and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. I’m particularly interested in translational research and designing personalised approaches to optimising signal processing strategies for cochlear implant users, as while many patients achieve good speech perception with their devices, there are many that still struggle. I’m also interested in more basic mechanisms of pitch perception and investigating new ways of characterising this.
