I am gay and I am a political scientist.//
I am a foreign policy and cultural scholar. My research is at the intersection of American Politics and International Relations. I examine the domestic reality of foreign policy, queer politics, racial politics, social movements, pop culture, and genocide. Right now, my work is more focused on queer politics and the political power of queer interest groups. Teaching is what keeps me busy!
I am perhaps a “standard nerd” outside of academia. I enjoy traveling and am a huge film nerd. Moreover, I love being active in social justice causes.
