He/Him

I am gay and I am a gravitational wave astronomer and PhD student. //

I got my undergraduate from Swansea University in 2013, after coming out in 2010. In 2014, I moved to Glasgow to begin my PhD. My PhD focuses on detection of transient-continuous gravitational waves from rotating neutron stars, and characterizing the LIGO detectors’ performance at detecting this kind of wave. The PhD took me to the US for 4 months in 2016, to live and work at LIGO Hanford. In 2017, I marched in our local Pride march, under the banner of Pride in Science.
