I am bi and I am a physicist specializing in quantum information theory.//
I got my start working in the area known as “complex systems” and, for my PhD, applied mathematical tools from statistical physics to questions in evolutionary biology. From there, I made a sideways move into quantum information theory, the study of how the strange behavior of very tiny things can be made useful for communicating and computing. I studied at MIT and Brandeis and have managed to use physics as a means to travel as far as France in one direction and Japan in the other.
