He/Him

I am gay and I am a geochronologist working in archaeological and palaeontological contexts.//

I am a PhD student at University of Adelaide conducting research on Neanderthal extinction in the Iberian Peninsula, focusing on reconstructing paleoenvironments and paleoclimates. My main methods include single grain OSL dating, XRF/XRD geochemistry, magnetic susceptibility accompanied by POSL.

When I started my undergraduate degree in geology, we were told that this degree could take us around the world if we really wanted it to, I didn’t particularly believe them and only saw myself finishing my degree and going straight into a mining job. That was until I took a subject in paleontology as an elective subject, which had a field trip which we excavated a partial plesiosaur, and just like that I knew I wanted to work in prehistory and excavate palaeontological and archaeological remains.

I now have travelled to multiple countries including Spain and France excavating and dating previously unknown history.
