I am gay and I am a neuroscientist.//
I kicked off my adventure in neuroscience as a lab intern back in my undergraduate days. The brain’s complexities totally blew me away, leading me to dive headfirst into graduate studies in this field. After getting my master’s in neuroscience in Turkey, I packed my bags and headed to the US to chase my PhD dreams at Rutgers!
Right now, I’m deep into exploring how visual processing changes during adaptation and learning. I’m using two-photon calcium imaging to observe the neuronal population dynamics in the primary visual cortex.
