I am bi and I am a postdoctoral researcher in condensed matter physics.//
I specialize in studying ultrafast processes in semiconductor nanostructures using femtosecond lasers. I am interested in understanding the interactions between different fundamental particles such as electrons, holes, photons, and phonons at very small timescales.
I completed my Ph.D. in Physics in February 2021 and joined as a postdoc at the University of Basel, Switzerland in April 2021. I love to study the Physics of materials and want to utilize them to create a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
I grew up in India where I completed my schooling and university. Growing up, I did not have any queer role models in STEM. I strongly believe in the need to create an intersectional working space to promote students and scientists from historically excluded communities in STEM. I want to establish myself as an independent researcher in my field. I aim at creating a safe working space where a diverse group of people can come together to do great science.
