I am trans and I am an extragalactic astronomer. //
I am queer trans woman, and I study the evolution of galaxies. I started out at the University of Surrey, completing an MPhys in Physics and MSc in Space Technology, and I recently completed my PhD in Astronomy at the Open University, where I studied how galaxies are shaped by internal and external processes, using amazing data from the MaNGA survey. I transitioned during my MSc, and have been an outspoken LGBT activist since, talking about my experiences and advice as a trans woman in science.
