I am gay and I am an engineering researcher and professor in sustainable infrastructure.//
My professional work is positioned at the intersection of advances in information modeling, and sustainability. The information modeling perspective effectively integrates life cycle environmental impact information into project and asset management methods, and allows for a more holistic approach to optimizing asset performance while reducing environmental impacts. The research outcomes help agency decision-makers identify pavement design and construction methods that support sustainable design and construction of highway infrastructure.
Personally, I came out when I was in graduate school and have been out and proud (and still keep coming out everyday). My hobbies include choral singing (second tenor), volunteering for non-profit organizations I care about, and wondering what errand my dachshunds will send me on next.
