I am bi and I am a neuroscientist.//
I am a postdoc investigating neural mechanisms that relate to risk and resilience for the development of behaviors related to substance use disorder. I began my science training as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin. I stayed at UW-Madison for my PhD which I received in December 2020. My current identity includes being chicana, biracial, a scientist, an athlete, bisexual, a friend, a midwesterner, and a mentor.

I’m a postdoc at MIT investigating neural circuits coordinating emotional and motivational processing, and how these pathways are dependent on hunger states. I began my science training at Indiana University and furthered it by obtaining a PhD from the University of Michigan. My identity includes, but is not limited to, being a scientist, an athlete, queer, a friend, an aunt, a girlfriend, an activist, and a mentor.
