He/Him

I am queer and I am an engineer.//

I serve as a Lecturer in Engineering Structures within the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). With a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) earned in 2020, I bring a wealth of expertise to my role. Formerly a postdoctoral research fellow at the NUS Environmental Research Institute, Singapore, my research spans computational pavement mechanics, environmental impact assessment, concrete pavements, non-destructive evaluation, and pavement management systems.

In addition to authoring over 15 peer-reviewed publications, I actively contribute to the development of new MSc programs and curricula at TU Delft. My commitment to transformative education is evident in my dynamic teaching style, incorporating active learning, experiential techniques, and gamification across a diverse range of courses. As an advocate for integrating social sciences and humanities into engineering education, I strive to uphold world-class standards of engineering excellence while fostering a more equitable future.

Beyond academia, I spearhead initiatives in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), collaborating with TU Delft’s diversity and inclusion team to shape policies. Recognized as a trailblazer in openly addressing DEIB challenges in Civil and Environmental Engineering education, I passionately work towards creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all students, reflecting my commitment to societal contributions and engineering excellence.
