I am queer and I am an analytics developer.//
I grew up in the southern part of India with a beautiful blend of family, math, science, arts and spirituality.
I enjoyed Math and Physics in high school, so went on to pursue Mechanical Engineering. I was also exploring a bunch of things outside engineering varying from Finance, Analytics, Theatre but was still very restless. I went on to work for an IT consulting firm post graduating and discovered meditation during this period. It reignited my curiosity and after some turn of events I decided to move to the US for grad school and studied Industrial Engineering. Currently I work at a Manufacturing firm in the Safety Division where I apply Data Science & Analytics to improve safety culture and reduce safety incidents.
I’m a builder at heart and view technology as a tremendous tool to contribute positively and reduce collective suffering for life around us.
Stories shared by the LGBTQIA+ community helped me in my coming out journey and I hope sharing mine can help make someone’s journey smoother and easier 🙂
