I’m gay and I’m an immunologist and PhD student. //

I’m a PhD student at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. My research aims to understand the role of immune cells (eosinophils and macrophages) in adipose tissue and how obesity can affect this cells. Despite all the difficulties of being gay in Brazil, I always had the support of my lab friends and most of the scientific community. I hope that more Brazilian researchers participate in this project and show how we can all be strong together.
