I am bi and I am an evolutionary biologist.//
Discovering I was bi was a weird journey, with a lot of self-doubt. It took years to admit that I liked men as well as women, and even longer to feel like I belonged in the community. This was alongside my own discovery of my love of biology and the study of evolution. For a long time I thought of these two as separate parts of myself that didn’t need to be together, that one would not likely influence the other. Oh how foolish I was.
