I am a Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Hofstra University, a primarily undergraduate institution near New York City. My scholarly research focuses mainly on ground- and space-based observations of stellar explosions, their remnants and their light echoes. I am also involved in advancing LGBTQ+ visibility and equality within the American Astronomical Society.
