I am queer and I am a mathematician.//
I’m a mathematician and educator based in North Carolina, United States. I teach at a community college and do research in a few different areas, including data science, low-dimensional topology, and representation theory. I'm active in the broader mathematical community, so you may see me speaking at conferences, organizing seminars or community events, or creating content as a science communicator on Instagram. People are multi-dimensional, and math academia often doesn’t make space for that. I hope to show younger mathematicians that there's no one "correct" way to exist as a mathematician. Mathematics is a powerful tool for serving our community, and anyone can be a mathematician with the right support. You deserve to exist in math spaces exactly as you are, joyfully and fully.
