I am a non-binary lesbian and I am a solid-state materials chemist..//
I earned my B.S. in chemistry and B.A. in mathematics from Pacific Lutheran University in WA state. I am currently working on my Ph.D. at Colorado School of Mines in collaboration with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. My research is focused in solid-state materials science with applications for next-generation lithium-ion batteries for improved renewable energy capability. I’m very passionate about nature and the environment! I not only work in renewable energy technologies, but also enjoy foraging, hiking, and just being outside. I love doing STEM outreach, both in being a mentor and in working with underrepresented groups.
