I am gay and I am an ecologist. //
I’m currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo, Canada, where I’m researching the impact of wildfire and human disturbance on boreal peatlands. My previous research was looking at the impact of climate change on methane emissions from permafrost landscapes across the North Slope of Alaska (I have an unhealthy love for tundra). I am super passionate about diversity in STEM subjects and increasing the visibility of LGBTQ+ people in science.
