I am queer and I am a neuroscientist. //
I am a PhD student at UC Berkeley studying neuroscience. In my research, I use computational models to study language processes in the human brain. Before graduate school, I studied psychology and applied math at Johns Hopkins University. Outside of lab, you can find me doing many circus-related activities, including fire spinning and aerial silks (though not at the same time). I was lucky enough to grow up in a progressive college town where I felt I could be open about who I was, but I still cried at the first pride parade I ever attended because I was so happy.
